Powder rheometry

In a strong collaboration with the chemistry department within the APTIS technological platform, the GRASP has developed scientific instruments for characterizing the powder properties such as flowability, rheology, cohesion index, Carr index, and tap density measurements. Four instruments are now distributed in various countries : GranuHEAP, GranuDRUM, GranuPAQ and GranuFALL. These instruments are currently used in different pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries. Analysis performed with these methods has shown to solve tricky problems in production lines, R&D developments, and help optimizing industrial processes. Application notes can be found on the APTIS website.

Videos of the powder rheometry instruments are now available on youtube :

A scientific paper describes the methods behind our instruments. It has been emphasized in a recent post.
